The Mac app

Locker for Mac runs entirely on your Mac. Your email is read and processed on your own device, by your Mac's on-device AI. The app sends no email content, no usage data, and no telemetry back to the developer — or anyone else. We have no account that holds your mailbox, and we never see your messages.

The only network connections the app makes are to your own mail provider (to sync your mail), and to check for app updates and validate your license. Nothing about your inbox is included in those.

If you choose to connect a cloud AI provider (an optional, clearly-labeled feature), the text you send for that one task goes to the provider you selected — never to us.

Connecting via Apple Mail

For work/Outlook/Exchange accounts that block IMAP, Locker can read and send through Apple Mail using macOS automation — entirely on your Mac. Locker never receives your mail; it only reads what Apple Mail already stores locally. Note that Apple Mail itself downloads your full mailbox onto your device (Apple's behavior), which for a large mailbox means meaningful local disk use. You can pause or remove the account at any time, and nothing about it ever reaches the developer.

The web version (separate)

A browser-based version of Locker is in development. It is a separate product with a different privacy model— it runs in the cloud and is not covered by the on-device guarantees above. It isn't available yet; its own terms and privacy details will be published before it launches.

This website & purchases

If you join the email list, we store the address you give us (plus your IP and browser user-agent) only to run the list and prevent abuse, and to email you about Locker — nothing else. We don't sell or share it; ask us to remove you any time. Purchases are handled by Polar as Merchant of Record — they process your payment; we never see your card details.

No tracking

No advertising trackers, no third-party analytics profiles, no selling of data. The app itself ships no telemetry about your inbox.
